Position Details

  • VPSG2 range $50,077 - $64,307 p.a. + super + leave loading, pro-rata*
  • One (1) part time (0.8 FTE), ongoing position available.
  • Working within the Covert Services Division, Intelligence and Covert Support Command located at the Victoria Police Complex, 313 Spencer Street, Docklands.**


About the role:
As the successful applicant, you will undertake a range of administrative functions including the maintenance and management of various records and registers as well as managing IT equipment purchases.

Some of your duties will include:

  • Administration (general reception duties).
  • General office duties.
  • Prepare a wide range of correspondence.
  • Assist in the preparing, development and maintenance of various records and registers.
  • Assist in ordering equipment and maintaining records.
  • Assist in the planning and preparation of various committee meetings.
  • General invoicing, including processing and payments.
  • Raising purchase and annual purchase orders.
  • Preparation of End of Financial Year (EOFY) financial reports.
  • Monthly Inspection of the Accountable Documents register.
  • Maintenance of petty cash and imprest e-cash books.
  • Stationery ordering/replenishment.
  • Managing Law Enforcement Assistance Program (LEAP) database maintenance and alerts.
  • Maintaining Support Services Division vehicle register.
  • Monthly reconciliation of Support Services Division vehicles.


As the successful applicant, you will have:

  • An ability to maintain systematic and accurate administrative records.
  • Well-developed oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritise work and meet strict deadlines.
  • You will also have a high degree of professionalism, initiative and an understanding of the needs of confidentiality surrounding the work location and duties undertaken.


Requirements and relevant information:

  • A current and valid Driver's Licence is highly desirable.
  • The successful applicant must undergo National Security Vetting, achieve and maintain a security classification as determined by the Department Head. To achieve this, applicants must be an Australian Citizen.
  • The incumbent will be required to complete the OHS requirements of the organisation, which may include local level training relating to equipment usage and Hazardous Chemicals.

**As of 1 July 2018 the VPSG2 range will be $50,828 - $65,272 p.a. + super + leave loading, pro rata.

**Your usual place of work will be within the Covert Services Division, Intelligence and Covert Support Command, however you may be required to work at any other division within the Command as required.
