Position Details

  • VPSG-4 range $79,955 - $90,716 p.a. + super + leave loading
  • One (1) full time, fixed term (until 30/06/2021) position currently available
  • Working within the Learning, Development and Standards Division, People Development Command located at the Victoria Police Academy, 1 View Mount Road, Glen Waverley, 3150*


About the role

As the successful applicant you will be required to:

  • Interpret and provide expert advice and consultation to stakeholders to ensure qualifications on the Registered Training Organisation (RTO) scope meet the requirements of nationally endorsed Training packages and/or organisational requirements.
  • Provide advice to help ensure the Victoria Police RTO meets AQTF & VRQA regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in development and review of standardised documentation, systems and processes to support quality training and assessment.
  • Work to continuously improve existing quality systems and processes.
  • Communicate and consult with relevant internal and external agencies on a range of education and training issues.
  • Work as a team member and contribute to a range of RTO education and training projects.

 

Some of your duties will include:

  • Reporting to the RTO Advisor, Quality and Standards Unit you will assist in maintaining RTO policies, procedures required to meet AQTF standards and VRQA guidelines.
  • Assist in preparing Quality and Standards Unit reporting and RTO reporting.
  • Assist in conducting internal audits and report findings to help promote continuous improvement and quality assurance process.
  • Promote consistency in practice.
  • Ensure training records are managed in accordance with RTO requirements, including evaluation of requirements for a student management system and implementation of an appropriate system.
  • Assist in conducting program evaluations and administration of surveys as required and report findings.
  • Interpret and provide expert advice in consultation with stakeholders.
  • Promote the Quality Assurance Strategy.
  • Assist in the development and facilitation of targeted professional development designed to support RTO/Quality and Standards Unit activities.
  • Assist relevant training area's in the ongoing development of courses and documentation.

 

As the successful applicant, you will have:

  • Well-developed conceptual, analytical, research and / or evaluation experience with the ability to prepare comprehensive specialised reports.
  • Well-developed communication, interpersonal and consultation skills with a demonstrated capacity to work effectively and collaboratively in a team based environment.
  • Demonstrated experience working within an RTO and VET sector qualifications
  • Demonstrated knowledge of both AQTF standards and VRQA guidelines.
  • Actively participated in external audits
  • Well-developed curriculum writing skills and knowledge.


Requirements and relevant information:

  • A tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline would be highly desirable.
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or equivalent).

 

*Your usual place of work will be within the Learning, Development and Standards Division, People Development Command however you may be required to work at any other division within the People Development Command as required.
