Great opportunities are now available for multiple positions in the Foundation Training Division of the People Development Command.

Position Details

  • VPSG-4 range $79,955- $90,716 p.a. + super + leave loading
  • Multiple ongoing and fixed term (until 30/06/2021) positions are available (both full-time and part-time application requests will be considered)
  • Working within the Foundation Training Division of People Development Command located at the Victoria Police Academy, View Mount Road, Glen Waverley 3150.

About the role

The positions are located within the Foundation Training Division of People Development Command; Initial duties at the Centre for Law and Operational Development (CfLOD).

As a member of the CfLOD you will be delivering, assessing and maintaining contemporary training to Police, Constable Qualifying Program and Protective Service Officer Recruits. The training includes (but not limited to) State and Commonwealth Legislation, Victoria Police Policy, Procedure & Practice and Victoria Police IT applications and programs. The training will be delivered through a combination of classroom and practical scenario based training.

The successful applicants will be expected to have experience in a law enforcement environment and possess excellent interpersonal communication skills in order to facilitate training in policing while being a key contributor within a dynamic and driver team environment.

Relevant information

  • Provide teaching and educational services to Victoria Police, drawing from one's own experience and knowledge;
  • Research, develop and implement innovative learning practices and instructional strategies including project/ problem  based action learning  together with flexible online delivery methods directed to the needs of the participants;
  • Perform the role connected with the Squad Manager Portfolio. These duties are an important strategy in providing day to day support for our newest members during their training within the Academy;
  • Demonstrated experience in policing practices, policies & procedures;
  • The position may require you to work outside the ordinary hours and you will be paid in accordance with the relevant Victorian Public Service Agreement; and
  • Your usual place of work will be within the Centre for Law and Operational Development, Foundation Training Division, People Development Command, however you may be required to work at any other centre of learning within the division as required.
