Position Details

 

  • VPSG-4 range $79,955 - $90,716 p.a. + super + leave loading
  • One (1) full time, ongoing position available
  • Working within the School of Leadership and Career Development Division, People Development Command located at the Airlie Leadership Development Centre, 26 Domain Rd, South Yarra, 3141*



About the role

This role is part of a newly established project team developing a significant program of work to be delivered as part of the 2017 Community Safety Statement. This team will contribute to an ‘uplift' in Victoria Police leadership capability and culture across the workforce. Reporting to the Program Manager you will work with and support other members of the team to deliver a state-wide development program roll out.


Some of your duties will include:

  • Managing the project life cycle, including completion of relevant documentation and reporting
  • Conducting research and environmental analysis to determine innovative solutions fit for purpose
  • Working as part of a dynamic team to develop and implement capability development approaches and programs
  • Preparing reports and high quality briefs for a senior audience
  • Liaising with and maintaining positive stakeholder relationships



As the successful applicant, you will have:

  • An understanding of project management methodology with demonstrated practical experience in application
  • Proven ability to translate strategic direction into project outputs and outcomes
  • Demonstrated skill in synthesising research and analysis into practical solutions
  • An ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Demonstrated initiative and confidence to approach and navigate challenges
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills to clearly articulate purpose and report on progress
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to manage and maintain stakeholder relationships



Requirements and relevant information

  • The incumbent will be required to complete the OHS requirements of the organisation, which may include local level training relating to equipment usage and Hazardous Chemicals
  • Possess a current Victorian Driver Licence and hold or qualify for a White Class Driver Authority within three (3) months
  • A relevant tertiary qualification is desirable
  • Travel within Victoria may be required

*Your usual place of work will be within the Leadership and Career Development Division, People Development Command, however you may be required to work at any other division within the Command as required.
