  • VPSG-3 range $64,583- $78,418 p.a. + super + leave loading
  • One full time, fixed term (until 30/06/2021) position available
  • Working within the Health, Safety and Deployment Division, Human Resource Department, located at the Victoria Police Centre, 637 Flinders Street, Docklands 3008*



About the role:

As part of Victoria's Community Safety Statement 2017 Applicant Attraction Team are required to attract suitable applicants for the recruitment of 2729 extra police and 100 extra protective services officers over four years from 2017 to 2021.

As part of this initiative an opportunity exists for a Recruitment Marketing Coordinator to join the Applicant Attraction and Project Team, Victoria Police.

The Applicant Attraction and Project team is a vital component of the organisation focused on the attraction of prospective applicants for Police, Protective Services Officer, Police Custody Officer and Victorian Public Service roles within Victoria Police.  The team provides assistance and advice to prospective applicants on the positions available within Victoria Police and educates them on the recruitment process.

You will work within this team to support the recruitment and marketing activities for the Police Custody Officer (PCO) role. You will also be responsible for enquiry management, event planning and attendance, recruitment information session delivery and website management.



Some of your duties will include:

  • Conducting Information Sessions for prospective applicants and careers advisors, outlining details of the role and requirements
  • Creating, developing and distributing practical marketing solutions and content for campaigns, social media applications and the Victoria Police career website
  • Attending Career exhibitions and events to promote the PCO role
  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders and  potential applicants; explaining the PCO concept and offering professional advice in response to pre-application queries

  • Proven marketing experience
  • Be flexible, a team player with great organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong work ethic
  • Possess highly developed communication and presentation skills
  • Have the ability to work collaboratively, independently and effectively whilst adhering to strict deadlines by balancing priorities and competing demands
  • Have well-developed Microsoft and Photoshop skills



Requirements and relevant information:

  • The incumbent will be required to complete the OHS requirements of the organisation, which may include local level training relating to equipment usage and Hazardous Chemicals.

*Your usual place of work will be within the Health, Safety and Deployment Division, Human Resource Department; however you may be required to work at any other division within the Department as required.
