Project Background

The BlueConnect Program is overseeing the modernisation of systems and technology within Victoria Police so we can better serve the community. BlueConnect is changing the way we collect, manage and access information, as well as connect with the community by supporting an agile and responsive police service.  The Body Worn Camera Project is a key project within the BlueConnect Program.

In April 2016 the Victorian Government allocated funding for body worn cameras as part of the Public Safety Package. This included new mobile technology and body-worn cameras to give police the tools they need to keep the community safe, and improve responses to family violence incidents.

By capturing audio and video of the scene and interactions with victims and perpetrators, BWCs will support better and more efficient justice outcomes (in both criminal and civil jurisdictions); and reduced trauma for victims of crime.

  • Actively support the BWC operational deployment activities, including logistical processes, business readiness objectives and BWC solution implementation.

As the successful applicant, you will have:

  • Proven high level project coordination experience and skills, working to tight deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced project environment
