  • Working within the BlueConnect Program, Information, Systems and Security Command located at the Victoria Police Centre, 637 Flinders Street, Docklands, 3008*


About the role

The BlueConnect Change Manager is responsible for planning, management and delivery of change activities for the Project.  The Change Manager will drive iterative planning of communication, engagement, and people readiness interactions to Victoria Police to adopt and embed the change.

Some of your duties will include:

  • Maintain overall responsibility for the planning and execution of change activity for the Project
  • Assess the change impact and conduct change impact assessments
  • Develop the change management approach
  • Enable and oversee training design, development and delivery activities
  • Develop and deliver change management and communications plans
  • Coordinate Organisational Change Management activities through regular check-ins, project status reporting and providing guidance to team members
  • Defining people and organisation readiness activities as input into business readiness planning
  • Plan and monitor stakeholder progress on the commitment curve and assess stakeholder change readiness
  • Define and measure change management success criteria
  • Act as the primary coordination and reference point for change management activity relating to the Project
  • Critically review (and approve where appropriate) change management work products to support activities
  • Report, monitor and mitigate risks and issues associated with the change
  • Work cross-functionally with all areas of the project team and organisation, engaging, building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders
  • Work with the BlueConnect Organisational Change Management Lead to determine priorities and ensure that the change journey is aligned to the organisation and program's vision
  • Ensure that the change management component of the project is delivered within time, quality and budget constraints

 

As the successful applicant, you will have:

  • Experience in planning and delivering change  in a large complex project environment with multiple stakeholders
  • Demonstrable experience in leading and driving change initiatives across multiple regions
  • Skilled in design and delivery of a communication plans
  • Excellent project management skills, e.g. project planning, managing a plan
  • Skilled in implementing change principles across people, systems, technology and culture
  • Highly competent and confident to build and sustain effective working relationships with people across all levels of the organisation
  • Excellent verbal communication, written communication and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to gain cooperation and achieve realistic outcomes
  • Highly developed analytical, conceptual and written communication including the ability to tailor the message to the needs and interests of the audience

 

Requirements and relevant information:

  • For positions within Intelligence & Covert Support Command, Counter Terrorism Command, Information, Systems & Security Command & VP MAC, the successful candidate must be prepared to undergo and successfully obtain and maintain a National Security Clearance to the level determined by the Department Head. To obtain this clearance applicants must be an Australian Citizen.
  • The incumbent will be required to complete the OHS requirements of the organisation, which may include local level training relating to equipment usage and Hazardous Chemicals.


*Your usual place of work will be within the BlueConnect Program, Information, Systems and Security Command; however you may be required to work at any other division within the Information, Systems and Security Command as required.
