Position Details

  • VPSG-6 range $113,156 - 151,426 p.a. + super + leave loading*
  • One (1) full time fixed term until 30/06/2021 position available
  • Working within the Operational Infrastructure Department, (Property Division) located at the Victoria Police Centre, Docklands 3008.**

 


About the role:


The successful applicant will be responsible for undertaking the role of Project Director for the new Victoria Police Complex that is to be located on the Wyndham Justice Precinct in East Werribee. In addition, the role is intended to provide governance and oversight to delivery activities some of which include:

 

  • Ensuring safety is maintained
  • Ensuring a robust and effective project management system is in place
  • Ensuring effective project risk management processes are in place
  • Monitoring financial position of projects and programs
  • Providing project/program status reporting as required
  • Ensuring projects and programs are delivered efficiently
  • Ensuring governance is maintained
  • Developing staff capability and skill
  • Providing expert leadership in project and program management
  • Overseeing as required the delivery of specific capital projects and programs
  • Overseeing and undertake complex procurements
  • Monitoring supply chain performance
  • Providing contract management leadership
  • Overseeing the approval of payments and contract execution in accordance with governance requirements

 

 

Skills and experience:

As the successful applicant, you will have:

  • Proven project management and experience in the delivery of specific capital projects and programs.
  • Ability to conduct research, develop project work and manage planning and reporting arrangements, within both a property and built environment market
  • Expertise in the PDCMA – Project Development and Construction Management Act
  • Knowledge of relevant government legislation, regulation and reporting directives and procedures
  • Highly developed conceptual, analytical, interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Highly developed skills in process mapping and developing frameworks around governance and a strong focus on people and process improvement; and
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, influencing collaboration and relationship building skills.

 

Requirements and relevant information:

*Please note the VPSG6 salary range is will be $115,136 - $154,076 as of 1 January 2018.

**Your usual place of work will be within the Property Division, Operational Infrastructure Department, however you may be required to work at any other division within the Operational Infrastructure Department as required.
