Position Details

About the role:

Reporting to the Business Services Manager, you will manage a program of strategic projects in a complex environment which will impact the delivery of education services to Recruits and Victoria Police members.  You will be responsible for co-ordinating the delivery of a range of interrelated projects, establishing governance procedures, analysis and reporting of progress to key stakeholders and working with the business to ensure strategic benefits are realised.

The Business Services Division's focus is to strengthen business governance practices and business planning and reporting, develop and implement sound finance and budget strategies, implement robust human resource practices, manage infrastructure requirements and build the Command's business capability.

Your duties will include:

  • Preparation of periodic progress reports and documentation
  • Leading project planning sessions
  • Engaging and managing internal and external stakeholder relationships
  • Identifying and developing risk mitigation plans
  • Aligning project initiatives with strategic direction and managing the change management process

As the successful applicant, you will have:

  • Experience in managing projects and providing expert strategic advice
  • Demonstrated experience in all aspects of change and project management
  • Demonstrated high level communication skills, including proven ability to manage and influence internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong organisational awareness, including ability to make recommendations on current business practises and develop new approaches that align with Command objectives

Requirements and relevant information:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification would be highly desirable
