Position Details

The BlueConnect Program is a government funded program that will address immediate issues to maintain the performance of core Victoria Police information systems and implement the longer-term reforms that will meet the information requirements for operational police.

The fundamental goal of the program is to develop a modern policing environment which provides members with the capability to access relevant police information any time at any place.

BlueConnect contains a large number of projects divided into separate programs, each with their own Steering Committee

  • One (1) fulltime, fixed term until 31/03/2021 position within the BlueConnect ETMS
  • One (1) full time, fixed term until 30/06/2020 position within BlueConnect PAL/OLR

 

Your duties will include:

  • Delivery of work packages for BlueConnect projects which have been allocated to them by the stream lead/Project Manager.
  • Support BlueConnect Program Level activities as assigned by the Program Director.
  • Track and report progress of overall work packages within the BlueConnect projects.
  • Assist with the planning and drafting of work packages for delivery of initiatives in the pipeline including continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Assist with capability and capacity management to ensure all capabilities required for the delivery of work packages are suitably resourced.
  • Assist with recruitment of requisite project resources.
  • Assist with the management of administrative and infrastructure requirements of the project team.
  • Create clear, evidence-based reports and deliver presentations to project stakeholders and senior management.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with multiple stakeholders involved in delivery of the project.
  • Strategic thinking to drive and deliver business improvement initiatives

.As the successful applicant, you will have:

  • Experience of having worked with agile project management methodology would be desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience in all aspects of change and project management.
  • Demonstrated superior level communication skills.
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to provide authoritative advice and solutions on governance and strategic issues.
  • Demonstrated comprehensive knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, public sector issues and procedures in a complex environment.
