Project Administrator

We are seeking a pro-active, intuitive Project Administrator to join our Program Team within the Properties Division, Operational Infrastructure. The Program Team are leading a coordinated and integrated approach to the delivery of the required infrastructure to accommodate the 2,729 additional police resources. The infrastructure includes items such as; work spaces, locker rooms, vehicles, equipment, uniforms and ICT provision.

As Project Administrator you will be responsible for supporting the Program Team and the Program Manager with administrative duties and project support ranging from data gathering, document preparation, event scheduling, support with procurement activities and support the development and implementation of efficient business processes across the Program.

Position Details

  • Provide high level administrative support.
  • Determine priorities, meet deadlines and effectively balance competing demands with minimal supervision, working autonomously and as a member of a team.
  • Deliver quality support and sound advice to relevant senior managers, internal/external stakeholders, clients and department staff in accordance with relevant guidelines and policies.
  • Other program support functions as required.

As the successful applicant, you will have:

  • High level organisational skills, with the ability to manage and prioritise competing tasks.
  • Ability to be self-motivated, work independently or in a dynamic, team environment, and produce high quality results.
  • Highly motivated and enjoy building and developing effective client relationships.  Strong communication skills are vital to this role.
  • Demonstrated experience in providing quality administrative support;
  • Highly developed interpersonal, and verbal and written communication skills; and
  • Advanced computer skills.

Requirements and relevant information:

  • You will be required to work from the Victoria Police Centre located at Docklands, Melbourne CBD.
