Education Consultants

This role will support the design, development and evaluation of specialist tactical police training.

The role will be responsible for supporting specialist police units in the development of curriculum, including session plans, instructor manuals and in developing and implementing training evaluations, ensuring consistency with the Operational Safety Tactics and Training framework and standards.

The role will work closely with the Security Services Division within the Transport and Public Safety Command to supporting their training and education framework, and will report to the Manager of the Operational Safety Education Unit within Operational Safety Division in People Development Command.

Position Details

Your duties will include:

  • Design, development and maintenance of training curriculum to support specialist tactical police training.
  • Development, implementation and analysis of training evaluation to support specialist tactical police training.
  • Monitor, manage and enhance the training framework for specialist police.
  • Identification of best practice to inform continuous improvement in police training.
  • Close liaison and consultation with the Operational Safety Division to ensure consistency in training standards and information sharing between specialist police training units and bi-annual police training requalification.

As the successful applicant, you will have:

  • Experience and qualifications in education design and developing training resources such as session plans, training manuals and evaluations;
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills;
  • The ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team environment

Requirements and relevant information:

  • The positions will undertake duties at the Victoria Police Centre, Siddley Street, Docklands and the Victoria Police Academy, View Mount Rd Glen Waverley.
  • Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a valid work permit or visa.
  • Two (2) full time, fixed term (until 5/02/2021) positions available
