Position Details

Administrative/Property Officer (VPSG-2) (20038141 and 20038142)

About the role:

This is a new and interesting opportunity to provide high quality administrative support and customer service to a range of areas within Crime Command at Victoria Police. Reporting to the Assistant Commissioner's Office you will be rotated to a range of workgroups, squads and taskforces where you will liaise with both internal members and members of the general public. In this role you will provide administrative support including office administration duties, reports, correspondence, records and property management. As the successful candidate you will be a quick learner with solid organisational and interpersonal skills, a person who strives on variety and adapts well to change.

  • 1 full time ongoing
  • 1 full time fixed term (12 months)

Your duties will include:

  • Provide administrative support to a range of staff and work areas within Crime Command's active environment
  • Perform data entry, maintain various records and registers (manual and computerised), disseminate documents
  • Assist in the collection of data and information to support management and projects
  • Provide a high level of customer service (internal and external)
  • Handling, transportation and auditing of exhibits

Requirements and relevant information:

  • Your usual place of work will be within Crime Command's divisions located at 313 Spencer Street, Docklands; this role will report to the Assistant Commissioner's Office and will be assigned to different work areas based on Command priorities, in accordance with the provisions of the relevant Victorian Public Service Agreement;
  • The position description is indicative of the initial expectation of the role and subject to changes to organisational goals and priorities, activities or focus of the job;
  • The successful applicant will be required to undergo National Security Vetting, achieve and maintain a security classification as determined by the Department Head.  To achieve this, applicants must be an Australian Citizen.
