Position Details

The BlueConnect Program is a government funded program that will address immediate issues to maintain the performance of core Victoria Police information systems and implement the longer-term reforms that will meet the information requirements for operational police.

The Equipment Tracking and Management Solution (ETMS) will provide Victoria Police with a centralised Operational Safety Equipment management system across the State to eliminate the need for stand-alone systems across the organisation.

This occupational health and safety risk mitigation recommendation can be considered the main driver for the ETMS project.

Your duties will include:

  • Lead, manage and coordinate the successful implementation of the ETMS project
  • Provide leadership and manage the efficient progress of the ETMS project through all project management phases.
  • Actively plan, monitor, manage and deliver the ETMS project objectives and outcomes to ensure the project remains within agreed budget, scope and timeframes.
  • Identify and resolve potential risks on legislative, industrial relations and policy issues associated with implementation of major projects within a diverse and complex environment.
  • Establish strong networks with key stakeholders and clients.
  • Develop briefing reports, high quality presentations at short notice in respect to highly sensitive and confidential issues.
  • Significantly contribute to strategic corporate projects.
  • Prepare a list of Steering Committee papers to be presented to the Monthly Steering Committee.

As the successful applicant, you will have:

  • Strong written and communication skills, especially in the presentation of information to senior leadership.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with project schedules and MS-Project
  • Ability to collate multiple information sources into a coherent whole quickly and concisely.

Requirements and relevant information:

  • May be required to work after hours.
  • Will be required on occasions to work as part of a collaborative team.
