Position Details
Boroondara Police Station is looking for a highly motivated applicant to join our team to assist administration duties. The position principally supports Boroondara Uniform with over 60 employees and assists with the property management of the Boroondara Crime Investigation Unit and Crime Scene Services.
The position's primary work location is Boroondara Police Station, however there may be a requirement attend other stations within the local area to assist with administration/property management, training and development. The successful applicant must possess exceptional organisation skills, be self-motivated, flexible in a dynamic environment, and work effectively in a small team environment as well as autonomously.
The successful applicant will work closely with the property portfolio sergeant, interact with internal and external stakeholders and report to the Senior Sergeants.

Your duties will include:
- Undertake number of functions around the receipt, management, storage and lawful disposal/destruction of property items in accordance with police policy, relevant legislation and station instructions
, - Assist with conducting audits and quality control of items in possession of police
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders regarding the destruction, disposal or return of property
, - Banking of cash on hand
, - Convey items/exhibits to Victoria Police Forensic Science Centre for disposal/destruction
, - Perform data entry and filing ensuring accuracy and confidentiality of all records
, - Providing administration support to police and personnel as required
, - Attend to enquiries from internal and external stakeholders and provide initial advice and information where required
- Providing administrative support to the Boroondara Leadership Team when requested.
About You:
The successful candidate will ideally have the following skills and experience:
- Capability to work autonomously and within a team-environment
- Computing and data entry skills to effectively record and store administrative records
, - Demonstrated experience performing administrative support functions
, - Excellent communication skills to engage with others professionally
- Highly adaptable and handles competing priorities effectively
- Excellent organisation skills and ability to work effectively in demanding situations
- Flexibility to assist other team members at different locations if required.
Further Information:
- One (1) x full-time, ongoing position available.
- This position is located at 34 Harp Road Kew; however, you may be required to work at other locations within the Division/PSA.
- Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a valid work permit or visa.
- The successful candidate will be required to undergo pre-employment checks which may include fingerprint checks and misconduct screening.
