About the role:

Victoria Police is currently advertising one (1) Part-time, Fixed Term, Administrative/Property Officer positions within Southern Metro Region, Division Three. This is a highly challenging role, and we are seeking individuals who are highly motivated, energetic, and self-driven to join our team. The successful applicants will possess strong communication and interpersonal skills and be able to work effectively within a team environment.

Division Three is one of the busiest divisions within Southern Metro Region with an ever-increasing demand upon police service delivery. The successful applicant's primary role will be to provide a high level of administrative/property officer support to members within the Division.

Your duties will include:

  • Prompt processing of incoming and outgoing briefs of evidence and routine correspondence including quality control and processing of urgent and complex court documents.
  • Issuing, updating, completing, and archiving of confidential records and accountable documents in a timely manner.
  • Providing high level administrative support including banking, filing & general office duties to Police personnel as needed/directed.
  • Providing advice to internal and external agencies on a range of Police administration matters.
  • Undertaking a range of functions around the receipt, management, and disposal of lost or seized property items in accordance with Police policy and relevant legislation.

As the successful applicant, you will have:

  • Demonstrated experience in providing high level administrative services in a confidential environment.
  • Great interpersonal skills with an ability to work effectively within a dynamic team environment.
  • Ability to communicate well with key internal and external stakeholders using a variety of communication channels and platforms.
  • Ability to maintain systematic and accurate administrative records.
  • The ability to interpret & apply legislation, policy & procedures.
  • An ability to prioritise work and meet strict deadlines with minimal supervision and a commitment to high service delivery standards.
  • General Computer/Microsoft Office Skills.
  • Show initiative and proactive work practices.
  • Be adaptable to change.

Requirements and relevant information:

  • One (1) Fixed Term, Part-time (0.7 FTE/ 7 days per fortnight) position available, current until close of business 01.06.2025.
  • $56,834 - $72,985 plus superannuation pro rata (0.7 FTE/ 7 days per fortnight) estimated salary $39,783 p.a.
  • Narre Warren Police Complex located at 1/7 Coventry Road, Narre Warren, VIC, 3805.
  • However, the successful applicant may be required to work out of any location within Southern Metro Region, Division Three.
  • Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a valid work permit or visa.
  • The successful candidate will be required to undergo pre-employment checks which may include fingerprint checks and misconduct screening.
