NORTH EAST & BORDER MENTAL HEALTH SERVICE
Kerferd Inpatient Unit - Wangaratta
Permanent Full-time and part-time positions available
Kerferd Inpatient Unit – North East and Border Mental Health Service has permanent position for Registered Nurse to join the Mental Health Inpatient Team in Wangaratta.
Ideally applicants should have completed post graduate studies in Mental Health or demonstrated experience in the area of Mental Health or a keen interest in the area of Mental Health.
The successful applicant will be required to perform primary nursing duties as part of the clinical multidisciplinary treating team in a supportive therapeutic environment.
Candidates meeting the following criteria are encouraged to apply:
- Well-developed nursing assessment and team collaboration skills;
- Ability to utilise interpersonal therapeutic interventions;
- Ability to provide therapeutic program support and/or facilitation and liaison with the program coordinator;
- Well-developed documentation skills;
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills;
- Sound understanding of Recovery Focus Care and be able to apply Recovery principles in all interactions, practises and documentation
- Work within a 7 day rotating roster
Salary and conditions of employment will be in accordance with the Victorian Public Mental Health Services Enterprise Agreement 2012-2016.

Successful applicants will be required to complete mandatory orientation modules using the AWH e-learning system prior to commencing employment.
This is a Category A position. Successful applicants of Category A positions must provide evidence of vaccination prior to commencement.
