Senior Medical Staff Support Officer – HS 2

Temp – Part time 64 hour f/night

Maternity leave  

 

Albury Wodonga Health requires a senior medical support officer to join the Medical Workforce Unit to cover maternity leave.

 

The SMSSO is responsible to provide support to the Medical Services Unit.

 

Primary responsibilities of this role:

  • Ensure that appropriate medical staffing for operational requirements.
  • Develop and maintain medical personal files, ensuring that all credentials are up to date 
  • Understand, interpret and apply Victorian and NSW State Awards.
  • Roster & Leave management.
  • Assist MMWU in accreditation process
  • Coordinate the locum appointment process for ad hoc and scheduled vacancies

  • Ability to function in a busy work environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite in particular Outlook, Word, Excel and Powerpoint
  • Knowledge of and experience in health industry would be an advantage.

  • Well-developed organizational and planning skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of all business activities
  • Ability to adapt to changing work demands

 

Salary and conditions of employment will be in accordance with the Victorian Public Health Sector (Health and Allied Services, Managers & Administrative Officers) Multiple Enterprise Agreement 2016-2020.

 

Successful applicants will be required to complete appropriate Criminal Record Screening paperwork/processes in order for AWH to meet its obligations regarding screening for serious criminal offences (within and external to Australia).  Applicants unable to commit to this screening process should not submit an application for employment.

 

Successful applicants will be required to complete mandatory orientation modules using the AWH e-learning system prior to commencing employment.

 

This is a Category B position.  Successful applicants of Category A positions must provide evidence of vaccination prior to commencement.
