Position Details

 

Central Sterilising Services Co-ordinator - Grade 4

Permanent- Full Time

 

Albury Wodonga Health requires a Central Sterilisation Services Co-coordinator (CSS) Coordinator to join our AWH team.

 

Albury Wodonga Health is a unique service.  It is the first cross border public health service to exist in Australia, and operates under an agreement between New South Wales and Victorian governments to provide the largest regional health care services between Sydney and Melbourne. It supports an outer catchment population of 250,000 and covers the North• East of Victoria and Southern New South Wales.

 

Primary responsibilities of this role will be managing the three Central Sterilisation Service Department (CSSD) departments - Albury Hospital CSSD, Wodonga Hospital CSSD and Wodonga   Dental Service CSSD.  These services support surgical specialties such as obstetrics,    orthopaedics,    ophthalmology,    ENT,    urology,    paediatric,    gynaecology, endoscopy, dental, plastic and facio-max, pain and general.

 

Candidates meeting the following mandatory criteria are encouraged to apply:

  • Sound knowledge and experience in the management and maintenance of sterilising processes, reusable medical devices and associated equipment
  • Sterilisation Qualification (Grade 4) or working towards same.
  • Thoroughly working knowledge of AS4187, GENCA and infection control principles.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to motivate staff.

Successful  applicants will be required to complete appropriate Criminal Record Screening paperwork/processes   in  order  for  AWH  to  meet  its  obligations  regarding  screening for serious criminal offences (within  and external to Australia).  Applicants unable to commit to this screening process should not submit an application for employment.

 

Successful applicants will be required to complete mandatory orientation modules using the

AWH e-learning system prior to commencing employment.

 

This is a Category A position.  Successful applicants of Category A positions must provide evidence of vaccination prior to commencement.
