Albury Campus 

Clinical Nurse Educator – Surgical Ward 1

Permanent part time position (0.8 FTE)

 

Albury Wodonga Health – Albury Campus requires a Clinical Nurse Educator to join our dynamic team in our Surgical Ward 1.  The Surgical Ward is responsible for the delivery of day to day patient care for predominantly Elective and Trauma Orthopaedics patients along with Short Stay Surgical patients.

 

The position of Clinical Nurse Educator in Surgical Unit 1 is a vital, valuable and necessary one to enable the Unit to continually grow and develop as a competent and skilled workforce at Albury Hospital.

 

The Unit provides a dynamic, high tech and exciting work environment where we continually deliver a high level of care to our patients.

 

To enable the Unit to continue in this quest, we seek interested and qualified Registered Nurses who can take on the role of Clinical Nurse Educator to support our nurses in their professional development and training.

Candidates meeting the following mandatory criteria are encouraged to apply:

 

  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Tertiary qualification in Education and/or Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment is highly desirable (or willingness to work towards).
  • Demonstrated advanced clinical knowledge and skill in practice area.
  • Demonstrated clinical education skills with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work within a team structure in a multidisciplinary environment.

 

Salary and conditions of employment will be in accordance with the NSW Public Health System Nurses' and Midwives' (State) Award.

 

Successful applicants will be required to complete appropriate Criminal Record Screening paperwork/processes in order for AWH to meet its obligations regarding screening for serious criminal offences (within and external to Australia).  Applicants unable to commit to this screening process should not submit an application for employment.

 

Successful applicants will be required to complete mandatory orientation modules using the AWH e-learning system prior to commencing employment.

 

This is a Category A position.  Successful applicants of Category A positions must provide evidence of vaccination prior to commencement.
