Coding Educator/Auditor - Grade 3

Permanent Full-time

 

Albury Wodonga Health invites an enthusiastic Health Information Manager to join our Health Information Department in a new Coding Educator/Auditing role.

 

The Coding Educator/Auditor will work in conjunction with the Coding and Casemix Manager in maintaining the provision of a high quality coding service.

 

Primary responsibilities of this role include clinical coding and documentation education to coding and clinical staff, quality improvement activities and coding audits.

Candidates meeting the following mandatory criteria are encouraged to apply:

  • Bachelor of Health Information Management or equivalent and eligibility for full membership of the Health Information Management Association of Australia (HIMAA).
  • Extensive coding experience involving varied casemix
  • High level experience in providing and managing coding quality auditing.
  • Proven ability to develop and deliver training and education to clinical coders, HIMs and clinicians with improved quality outcomes.

 

Salary and conditions of employment will be in accordance with the Allied Health Professionals (Victorian Public Health Sector) Single Interest Enterprise Agreement 2016-2020.

 

Successful applicants will be required to complete appropriate Criminal Record Screening paperwork/processes in order for AWH to meet its obligations regarding screening for serious criminal offences (within and external to Australia).  Applicants unable to commit to this screening process should not submit an application for employment.

 

Successful applicants will be required to complete mandatory orientation modules using the AWH e-learning system prior to commencing employment.

 

This is a Category B position.  Successful applicants of Category A positions must provide evidence of vaccination prior to commencement.
