Albury Wodonga Health requires a Clinical Products Manager to join our Logistics Department. The position of Clinical Products (Supply / Support) Manager has an organisational (AWH) focus on supply support for all clinical products within AWH. The incumbent is responsible for providing specialist clinical advice and assistance to the AWH Director of Logistics, Senior Manager Contracts and Fleet Management, Senior Procurement Officer, Biomedical Staff, Department Heads and Clinicians.

 

Primary responsibilities of this role:

 

  • The development and sustainment of an AWH Clinical Product Management Plan and operational guidelines with particular emphasis on legislative compliance, risk reduction, standardisation, effectiveness and cost efficiency.
  • The implementation of the AWH Clinical Product Management Plan and operational guidelines for procurement and supply functions as related to clinical products.
  • Provide direct clinical input into all elements of the operation of the AWH Logistics Department, including but not limited to the following tasks:
    • Analysing clinical product requirements and making determinations / recommendations on which products will be stocked and or catalogued (Oracle) for use within AWH.
    • Act as a central point for the management and registration of clinical trials for both consumables and equipment within AWH.
    • Ongoing Management / Review of applicable Quality Management Documentation within
    • AWH.
    • Monitor changes to NSW Government and VIC HPV Contracts and make recommendations for changes to stocked and or catalogued items listing to ensure compliance for clinical products.
    • Ongoing Management / Review of Stocked Line Inventory to ensure it is optimised within warehousing / financial constraints to meet clinical support requirements.
    • Ongoing management and review of AWH Oracle IProcurement Catalogue to ensure currency in terms of data and clinical / clinical support requirements.
    • Negotiate price / service agreements with Suppliers for clinical items outside the scope of Government Contracts.

Candidates meeting the following mandatory criteria are encouraged to apply:

  • Demonstrated clinical experience across a broad range of medical environments (minimum 5 years nursing post graduate experience or equivalent and currency)
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, consult and negotiate effectively with suppliers, Senior Nurse Managers and health professionals
  • Demonstrated understanding and experience in the development and implementation of procurement policies and procedures within a Quality Accredited Organisation.
  • Demonstrated research and analytical ability relative to the planning of clinical product management.

 

Salary and conditions of employment will be in accordance with the Public Health System Nurses' and Midwives' (State) Award 2015.

 

Successful applicants will be required to complete appropriate Criminal Record Screening paperwork/processes in order for AWH to meet its obligations regarding screening for serious criminal offences (within and external to Australia).  Applicants unable to commit to this screening process should not submit an application for employment.

This is a Category A position.  Successful applicants of Category A positions must provide evidence of vaccination prior to commencement.
