McGrath Breast Care Nurse - CNC

3 year Contract position  

 

Albury Wodonga Health – Albury Wodonga Regional Cancer Centre requires a McGrath Breast Care Nurse to join our Cancer Services team.

 

Primary responsibilities of this role

  • Application of advanced breast cancer knowledge and skills
  • Care coordination for people diagnosed with breast cancer
  • Promotion of interdisciplinary breast care
  • Patient focused supportive care
  • Act as a breast cancer resource person
  • Satisfy the requirements of the McGrath Foundation

Candidates meeting the following mandatory criteria are encouraged to apply:

  • Qualifications in cancer nursing- Breast care qualification or working towards are highly regarded.
  • Proven experience as a registered nurse working with cancer patients and families/carers.
  • High-level awareness of applying advanced knowledge of health needs, preferences and circumstances of women with breast cancer to optimise outcomes across the continuum of care.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of theory and recent research relevant to the field of breast cancer nursing.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal skills and a team oriented approach.

 

Salary and conditions of employment will be in accordance with the Public Heatlh System Nurses and Midwives award (NSW) 2015.

 

Successful applicants will be required to complete appropriate Criminal Record Screening paperwork/processes in order for AWH to meet its obligations regarding screening for serious criminal offences (within and external to Australia).  Applicants unable to commit to this screening process should not submit an application for employment.

Successful applicants will be required to complete mandatory orientation modules using the AWH e-learning system prior to commencing employment.

 

This is a Category A position.  Successful applicants of Category A positions must provide evidence of vaccination prior to commencement.
