Infection Prevention and Control Practitioner

Fixed term, Part-time 0.8 EFT (64 hours per fortnight)

1 March – 30 June 2018


Albury Wodonga Health requires an experienced Registered Nurse with immunisation experience to join our Infection Prevention and Control Team.


While this position contributes to the overall provision of infection prevention, control and surveillance services within AWH facilities, the primary function is the coordination and implementation of our staff health program, including immunisation and hand hygiene programs.

Candidates meeting the following mandatory criteria are encouraged to apply:

  • Registered nurse.
  • Accredited Nurse Immuniser.
  • Accredited NHHI Hand Hygiene Auditor (desirable).


Salary and conditions of employment will be in accordance with the Nurses & Midwives (Victorian Public Sector) (Single Interest Employers) Enterprise Agreement 2016-2020


Successful applicants will be required to complete appropriate Criminal Record Screening paperwork/processes in order for AWH to meet its obligations regarding screening for serious criminal offences (within and external to Australia).  Applicants unable to commit to this screening process should not submit an application for employment.


Successful applicants will be required to complete mandatory orientation modules using the AWH e-learning system prior to commencing employment.


This is a Category A position.  Successful applicants of Category A positions must provide evidence of vaccination prior to commencement.
