Unaccredited Radiation Oncology Registrar/SRMO

Full Time, Fixed Term Contract

An opportunity exists for an appointment for an unaccredited radiation oncology registrar/SRMO who is interested in radiation oncology

The department is vibrant and supportive and the successful applicant will have a busy radiology oncology workload with a wide range of procedures performed. It would be expected that significant experience can be achieved in during the clinical year.

Albury Wodonga has one of Australia's largest inland populations and provides all the facilities of a provisional city combined with a relaxed lifestyle. 


Successful applicants will be required to complete appropriate Criminal Record Screening paperwork/processes in order for AWH to meet its obligations regarding screening for serious criminal offences (within and external to Australia).  Applicants unable to commit to this screening process should not submit an application for employment.


As an unaccredited Registrar/SRMO within the Radiation Oncology unit you will have significant responsibility and a complex role. The responsibilities of the role include:

  • Provide high level inpatient care
  • Maintain accurate and timely medical records
  • Care of terminally ill patients
  • Radiation treatment planning under supervision of Radiation Oncologist
  • Review of patients undergoing radiation therapy
  • Organise patient admissions when required
  • Presentation of patients in multidisciplinary and quality assurance meetings
  • Quality communication with all staff members of the cancer centre

Participation in clinical research and teaching program
