Position Details

Albury Campus

Occupational Therapist- Level 3

Fixed-term, 0.4 FTE

 

Albury Wodonga Health, Albury campus requires an Occupational Therapist to join our Occupational therapy team

Primary responsibilities of this role are to;

  • Provide client focused clinical services in cooperation with the multi/interdisciplinary team.
  • Provide assessment, treatment /intervention and consultative services to clients.
  • Facilitate the smooth transition of clients through the health care system, liaising with      relevant staff and community agencies to ensure continuity of care for individual patients / clients and their families.

Candidates meeting the following mandatory criteria are encouraged to apply:

  • A qualification in Occupational Therapy or equivalent.

  • Registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).

  • Willingness to work weekends and public holidays

  • Experience in the provision of occupational therapy services, as reasonable for a Level 3 OT.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Demonstrated ability of high level verbal and written communication skills with other health professionals, clients, families and community agencies.
  • Experience in supervision of undergraduate OT students and AHA in relation to their role in your clinical caseload.
  • Experience in quality improvement activities.

Salary and conditions of employment will be in accordance with the NSW Health Professionals (State) Award.

Successful applicants will be required to complete appropriate Criminal Record Screening paperwork/processes in order for AWH to meet its obligations regarding screening for serious criminal offences (within and external to Australia).  Applicants unable to commit to this screening process should not submit an application for employment.

Successful applicants will be required to complete mandatory orientation modules using the AWH e-learning system prior to commencing employment.

 

This is a Category A position.  Successful applicants of Category A positions must provide evidence of vaccination prior to commencement.
