Clinical Nurse Specialist, Community Palliative Care (24 hours per week) Permanent position


Albury Wodonga Health – Wodonga Campus requires a Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our Community Palliative Care Service. This positon provides in-home and community based support to people and their families/carers within a palliative care framework. Community Palliative Care staff work in conjunction with various primary and other community based health providers to ensure people living with life limiting illness are supported throughout their palliative and end of life journeys, including grief and bereavement support for families and carers.

Candidates meeting the following mandatory criteria are encouraged to apply:

  • Unencumbered AHPRA registration
  • Post graduate qualification in palliative care with a minimum of 12 months associated clinical practice OR post graduate clinical experience as detailed in the position description.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and demonstrated ability to work within a multi/interdisciplinary team environment


Salary and conditions of employment will be in accordance with the Victorian Nurse and Midwives Enterprise Agreement 2016-2020.


Successful applicants will be required to complete appropriate Criminal Record Screening paperwork/processes in order for AWH to meet its obligations regarding screening for serious criminal offences (within and external to Australia).  Applicants unable to commit to this screening process should not submit an application for employment.


Successful applicants will be required to complete mandatory orientation modules using the AWH e-learning system prior to commencing employment.


These are Category A positions.  Successful applicants of Category A positions must provide evidence of vaccination prior to commencement.
