Associate Nurse Unit Manager – NP83

0.6 FTE/Permanent Part Time

 

Albury Wodonga Health – Wodonga campus, requires an Associate Nurse Unit Manager to join our Mental Health Team, at the Rehabilitation and Recovery Service at Benambra Unit. Applications are invited from a suitably qualified nurse, to join our dedicated team to assist individuals with achieving recovery goals by providing collaborative 24hour support and person orientated care.

 

Primary responsibilities of this role include

  • Undertaking specialist mental health assessments and report outcomes that emphasize the individuals strengths
  • Work collaboratively with other members of the multidisciplinary team to provide services which are person centred, provide supports for families and significant others and promote the use of natural support and community resources.
  • Work with the individual to promote skill development and self-responsibility.

 

Ideally this role would suit an applicant with a high level of experience in the community health care setting, who has a sound knowledge and understanding of recovery focussed care.

Candidates meeting the following mandatory criteria are encouraged to apply:

  • Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team environment
  • Post graduate qualifications in mental health or be working towards achieving this, or demonstrated experience working for 3 or more years in the mental health sector.

 

Salary and conditions of employment will be in accordance with the Victoria Public Mental Health Services Enterprise Agreement 2016-2020.

 

Successful applicants will be required to complete appropriate Criminal Record Screening paperwork/processes in order for AWH to meet its obligations regarding screening for serious criminal offences (within and external to Australia).  Applicants unable to commit to this screening process should not submit an application for employment.

 

Successful applicants will be required to complete mandatory orientation modules using the AWH e-learning system prior to commencing employment.

 

This is a Category A position.  Successful applicants of Category A positions must provide evidence of vaccination prior to commencement.
