Position Details

The Policy and Research Officer is responsible for supporting the successful achievement of the ANZPAA Business Plan and works across a range of work items in support of the ANZPAA Board and Australia New Zealand Council for Police Professionalisation (ANZCoPP).

The position is within the Strategic Services Directorate. In this role you will assist with the research and development of innovative solutions, assist in the management of policy projects and support workshop and consultation meetings. You will be responsible for preparing reports, presentations and briefings that offer strategic considerations and effective practices to the ANZPAA Board. This role supports the directorate in identifying and examining trends that may influence police operational capabilities and exploring the application of innovative methodology to enhance policing practice and response. 

The Policy and Research Officer will identify and address complex problems and demonstrate a willingness to learn and engage with unfamiliar subject matter. They will have excellent written and verbal communication skills and strive to build trusting relationships with stakeholders.
