Clinical Products Manager – Grade 5, Clinical Consultant C

Permanent Position Full Time


Albury Wodonga Health – Wodonga Campus requires a Clinical Products Manager to join our Procurement & Contracting Team. The Clinical Products Manager has an organisational focus on supply support for all clinical products within AWH. The incumbent is responsible for providing specialist clinical advice and assistance to the Strategic Procurement & Contracting function, Supply Function, Biomedical Staff, Department Heads and Clinicians.


Primary responsibilities of this role:

  • Development of AWH Clinical Product Management Plan & associated guidelines.
  • Implementation of AWH Clinical Product Management Plan & associated guidelines.
  • Provide clinical input into both AWH Supply & Procurement functions.
  • Perform secretariat role for Clinical Products Working Group
  • Take responsibility for day to day management of AWH Product Recall process.
  • Take responsibility for activities relating to innovation and changes to clinical   product use, availability and effectively.
  • Develop & implement KPI for measuring support provided.
  • Provide advice to AWH clinical staff on procurement processes and procedures.

Candidates meeting the following mandatory criteria are encouraged to apply:

  • Demonstrated clinical experience across a broad range of medical environments (minimum 5 years nursing postgraduate experience or equivalent currency).
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, consult and negotiate with suppliers, Nurse Unit Managers and Health Professionals.
  • Understanding & experience in the development & implementation of procurement policies and procedures within a Quality Accredited Organisation.
  • Demonstrated computer skills.
  • Research & analytical skills relative to the planning of clinical products management.
  • Ability to manage resources to produce results within specific time lines.
  • Current drivers licence.


Salary and conditions of employment will be in accordance with the Victorian Nurses Award.


Successful applicants will be required to complete appropriate Criminal Record Screening paperwork/processes in order for AWH to meet its obligations regarding screening for serious criminal offences (within and external to Australia).  Applicants unable to commit to this screening process should not submit an application for employment.


Successful applicants will be required to complete mandatory orientation modules using the AWH e-learning system prior to commencing employment.


This is a Category B position.  Successful applicants of Category A positions must provide evidence of vaccination prior to commencement.
