Position Details

Medical Registrars (up to 14 positions)

Full-Time Fixed-Term Positions 2020 Clinical Year

 

Albury Wodonga Health is pleased to be recruiting up to 14 Medical Registrars to join our Department of Medicine. We have a total of 19 Medical Registrar positions across the two acute campuses at Albury Hospital and Wodonga Hospital with five Registrars on rotation under the Greater Western BPT Consortia program.

 

The vacant roles are available to Registrars who have joined the Royal Australasian College of Physicians training program as Basic Physician Trainees.

 

The General Medicine Department has excellent consultant support and exposure to a range of sub-specialty areas. We also have Advanced Training opportunities and have applied for Level 2 BPT status.

 

Requirements

  • Current unrestricted AHPRA registration
  • Demonstrated experience applying medical knowledge towards sound clinical diagnosis, investigation and treatment of patients
  • Demonstrated effective communication with patients, relatives, staff and colleagues
  • Knowledge and ongoing adherence to hospital safety policies
  • Current enrolment in the RACP Prep program

 

Albury Wodonga has one of Australia's largest inland populations and provides an excellent lifestyle with a wide variety of sporting and recreational activities. The catchment population for General Medicine is 250,000.

 

Salary and conditions of employment will be in accordance with the AMA Vic Doctors in Training Enterprise Agreement 2018-2021.

 

Successful applicants will be required to complete appropriate Criminal Record Screening paperwork/processes in order for AWH to meet its obligations regarding screening for serious criminal offences (within and external to Australia).  Applicants unable to commit to this screening process should not submit an application for employment.
