ALBURY CAMPUS

 Clinical Support Officer

Permanent/Fulltime

 

Albury Wodonga Health – Albury Campus requires a Clinical Support Officer to join our Admitted Administrative Services Team. The Clinical Support Officer will provide timely and accurate administrative services for the Wards under the direction of the Nurse Unit Manager. 

 

Primary responsibilities of this role will be to act within the context of a multidisciplinary team to:

  • Provide administrative / secretarial support to the Nurse Unit Managers and staff within the Ward / Unit.
  • To act as a receptionist for patients and relatives entering the Ward / Unit.
  • To assist with the processing of admissions and discharges of patients in areas and act as a liaison person for medical, nursing and allied health staff.
  • To provide support with the day to day maintenance of Nursing Rosters

as directed by Nurse Unit Managers.

  • To provide support with the coordination of the Nursing Casual Pool and replacement of Nursing staffing requirements.

Candidates meeting the following mandatory criteria are encouraged to apply:

 

  • Excellent communication skills including accurate spelling, good comprehension, confidence in the spoken word.
  • Demonstrated skills in dealing confidently and courteously with people at all levels.
  • Demonstrated experience in work processing, spreadsheet database software.
  • Ability to work as an effective member of the team in a high pressure, high volume work environment.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Capacity to work with minimal direction and to undertake a diverse range of tasks.
  • Knowledge of the NSW Health system
  • Willingness to undertake Certificate 111 in Health Administration or equivalent.
  • Evident of a current Class C drivers licence

 

 

 

 

 

 

Salary and conditions of employment will be in accordance with the NSW Health Employees Administrative Staff (State) Award. 

 

Successful applicants will be required to complete appropriate Criminal Record Screening paperwork/processes in order for AWH to meet its obligations regarding screening for serious criminal offences (within and external to Australia).  Applicants unable to commit to this screening process should not submit an application for employment.

 

Successful applicants will be required to complete mandatory orientation modules using the AWH e-learning system prior to commencing employment.

 

This is a Category B position.  Successful applicants of Category A positions must provide evidence of vaccination prior to commencement.
