Albury Wodonga Health (AWH) is a cross border public health service which is the largest regional health care services between Sydney and Melbourne. About the Role:

The Senior Dental Officer (SDO) is a highly competent and experienced dental practitioner who is recognised for their exceptional competence in general dental work and has a proven track record of carrying out a broad range of advanced and complex general dental procedures.

The SDO will provide clinical leadership for all clinical staff, and will provide advanced clinical leadership to less experienced Dental Clinicians, Dental Assistants and Undergraduates, in accordance with AWH policy and procedures, to ensure the implementation, maintenance and provision of high quality, safe and responsive clinical care. Candidates for and incumbents of this position have a high level of understanding, contribution and leadership of dental public health principles and application at a service wide level to ensure all staff work effectively within an interdisciplinary team to support the Albury Wodonga Health Dental Service to deliver value based health care outcomes and services to our community.

Our Service:

Our Dental Service is an integrated and value based model of care with 11 dental chairs on site and a range of outreach and outpost clinical service. The role will also involve the supervision and support for the La Trobe Student Program within our service. Our multidisciplinary team is well engaged and passionate, with a focus upon providing an important clinical service to our community.
