2020 Hospital Medical Officers PGY2/3

Multiple positions


  • Clinical Year 2020, full time, fixed term, one and two year contracts available
  • Excellent training for future Rural Generalists, including Emergency, Obstetrics/ Paediatrics, Surgery, Anaesthetics, and High Dependency (HDU).
  • Combine your professional career with a lifestyle situated in a tourist hub on the picturesque Murray River.

Applications are sought from suitably qualified PGY2/3 Hospital Medical Officers for fixed term positions commencing 3 February 2020.  Applicants will have an interest in working in an outer regional health service with available rotations including: 

-      Emergency Medicine

-      General Surgery

-      General Medicine

-      Obstetrics/Paediatrics 

A term in Anaesthetics/HDU will be offered as part of a Rural Generalist Training pathway in collaboration with Bendigo Health and Swan Hill District Health. 

Our team requires:

  • MBBS or equivalent degree with General Registration with the Medical Board of Australia
  • High level interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently (under supervision).

This position requires completion of a satisfactory National Police Check and Working with Children's check prior to appointment.
