Social Worker - Grade 2 

Permanent Part Time – 64 hours per fortnight

Classification: Social Worker Grade 2 

Award: Allied Health Professionals (Victorian Public Health Sector) Single Interest Enterprise Agreement 2016 – 2020

Qualifications / Experience

  1. A qualification that makes an employee eligible for membership of the Australian Association of Social Worker.

Specialist Expertise

  1. Ability to engage and work effectively with individuals and families from culturally diverse backgrounds.
  2. Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the principles of counselling, case management and health promotion.
  3. Experience and ability to utilise clinical knowledge and skills to identify and address the needs of people with complex and multiple health needs.
  4. Ability to build effective working partnerships with a range of stakeholders to achieve effective outcomes.
  5. Understanding and commitment to evidence-based practice and person-centred care.
  6. Demonstrated evidence of commitment to ongoing education and professional development to ensure working within current scope of practice.

Personal Qualities

  1. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  2. Demonstrated ability to communicate and advocate in a timely and effective manner.
