Registered Nurse Grade 2 – Perioperative Suite

  • Permanent Full Time or Part Time – up to 1.8EFT Available
  • Fixed Term, 0.5EFT available, from 4th January 2023 – 29th January 2024

We're seeking suitable candidates with a clinical background in any of the following specialties: Scrub Scout = General, Gynae, Endoscopy, Urology, and ENT. Anaesthetics/PACU.

We are looking for someone with the following qualities:

  • Relevant registration with AHPRA;
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in scrub scout nursing and/or Anaes/PACU;
  • Post Graduate Certificate in Perioperative Nursing (or working towards);
  • Willingness to educate in all areas of Perioperative nursing;
  • Sound clinical decision making and problem-solving skills;
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills;
  • Works well independently and within a team;
  • Compliance with ACQSHC national standards;
  • Commitment to Quality Patient Care;
  • Basic computer skills.

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA

Qualifications / Experience

  1. Registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse with no restrictions.

Specialist Expertise

  1. Sound understanding of the role and responsibilities of a Registered Nurse
  2. Ability to communicate effectively with patients, visitors and staff at all levels within the organisation
  3. Ability to practice collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team
  4. Knowledge of and involvement in evidence-based practice and research activities
  5. Commitment to ongoing education and professional development to ensure working within current scope of practice.

Personal Qualities

  1. Excellent organisational skills particularly with respect to time management
  2. Well-developed interpersonal skills

Excellent communication and computer skills at the level required to fulfil the role.
