Casual District Nurse
Registered Nurse or Endorsed Enrolled Nurse
Classification: Registered Nurse or Endorsed Enrolled Nurse (dependent on qualifications and experience)
Award: Nurses and Midwives (Victorian Public Sector) (Single Interest Employers) Enterprise Agreement 2020-2024
This is a great opportunity for an experienced District Nurse to join the Community Services team at MDHS, on a casual basis. In this role, you will use your professional clinical skills to maintain a high standard of nursing care and service delivery to the clients of MDHS.
We are looking for someone with the following qualities:

- Basic Life Support Certificate

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA
Registered Nurse
Qualifications / Experience
- Registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Current Victorian Driver's Licence.
- Recent clinical experience or sound understanding of community nursing practice is desirable.
- Post registration qualification in relevant area of speciality or working towards same is desirable.
Specialist Expertise
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with clients, family/carers and staff at all levels within the organisation.
- Demonstrated written and computer skills at the level required to fulfil the role.
- Demonstrated knowledge of and involvement in evidence-based practice and research activities.
- Demonstrated evidence of commitment to ongoing education and professional development to ensure working within current scope of practice.
Personal Qualities
- Demonstrated organisational skills, particularly with respect to time management.
- Demonstrated ability to contribute and practice collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Have well developed interpersonal skills
KEY SELECTION CRITERIA
Endorsed Enrolled Nurse
Qualifications / Experience
- Registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Demonstrated evidence of commitment to ongoing education and professional development to ensure working within current scope of practice.
- Demonstrated sound level of nursing skills and works within safe practice principles.
- Demonstrated commitment to the provision of care which focuses on the individual and support networks.
Specialist Expertise
- Knowledge of Home & Community Care Program (HACC).
- Ability to attend to Phlebotomy.
- Ability to work across MDHS campuses.
- Willing to undertake Post Graduate Qualifications.
Personal Qualities
- Demonstrated organisational skills, particularly with respect to time management.
- Demonstrated ability to contribute and practice collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Have well developed interpersonal skills
