Registered Nurse Grade 2 – Avoca Campus

Permanent Part Time – 32 hours per fortnight

Classification: Registered Nurse Grade 2 (YP4)

Award: Nurses and Midwives (Victorian Public Sector) (Single Interest Employers) Enterprise Agreement 2020 - 2024

This is a great opportunity for a Registered Nurse to join the aged care team at the Avoca Campus in a permanent position. Our ideal applicant is passionate about aged care, demonstrates an ability to work independently as well as effectively within a team and has excellent communication.

We are looking for someone with the following qualities:

  • Experience in Aged Care Nursing preferred
  • Knowledge of Aged Care Accreditation and ACFI viewed favourably
  • Patient-centred care
  • Professional Communication and people skills
  • Basic Life Support Certificate

Qualifications / Experience

  1. Registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse with no restrictions.

Specialist Expertise

  1. Sound understanding of the role and responsibilities of a Registered Nurse
  2. Ability to communicate effectively with patients, visitors and staff at all levels within the organisation
  3. Ability to practice collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team
  4. Knowledge of and involvement in evidence-based practice and research activities
  5. Commitment to ongoing education and professional development to ensure working within current scope of practice.

Personal Qualities

  1. Excellent organisational skills particularly with respect to time management
  2. Well-developed interpersonal skills
  3. Excellent communication and computer skills at the level required to fulfil the role.
