We have an open vacancy for an ongoing, full time, Committee Digital Development Officer.

 

About the role
The Committee Digital Development Officer will provide innovative digital solutions to improve and streamline services and processes across Legislative Assembly and Legislative Council committees, while also contributing to the development and content creation of information management systems, committee websites and the intranet.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Analyse business needs and propose digital solutions to improve and streamline Parliamentary committee services and processes.
  • Document functional specifications for the design and development of databases and digital solutions to support business processes for committees, collaborating with the Department of the Legislative Assembly, Department of Legislative Council and Department of Parliamentary Services as required.
  • Contribute to the successful delivery and completion of the database development and business improvement projects for committees, including user acceptance testing and monitoring and evaluating outcomes to ensure departmental objectives are met.

 

About you

The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience in the provision of digital solutions and bring expertise to develop and publish engaging and innovative digital content across multiple digital platforms and channels, alongside:

  • Demonstrated experience in the analysis of business requirements and the delivery of digital solutions, business improvement projects and information management systems.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and critical thinking, excellent computer literacy skills and experience in various Microsoft programs.
  • Sound written, communication and interpersonal skills with an emphasis on developing and maintaining successful relationships at all levels of the organisation and providing high level confidential client services.
  • Ability to work effectively in a highly collaborative team environment, requiring effective communication, flexibility and a service mindset.
  • Sound understanding of the operations and functions of a Parliament and its committees, or the ability to quickly obtain this knowledge.
