Permanent - Up to 80 hours per fortnight

Award: Victorian Public Health Sector (Health and Allied Services, Managers and Administrative Workers) Single Interest Enterprise Agreement 2021 – 2025

This is a great opportunity to join the Hospitality Services team at MDHS in delivering a high quality food service to our residents at the Maryborough, Avoca & Dunolly Campuses. In this role, you will be responsible for preparation, and cooking of the meal service to support the care of our residents. This is a permanent part time position, with shifts finishing at either 3pm or 6pm and additional shifts covering leave replacement when required.   The successful applicant must be able to work weekends.

We are looking for someone who is a suitably qualified Chef/Trade Cook or experienced in the industry in a similar role. The successful applicant will need to be suitably skilled, have a strong work ethic, excellent customer service, good interpersonal and communication skills and thrive in a team environment.

 KEY SELECTION CRITERIA

Qualifications / Experience

  1. Certificate III (Commercial Cookery) or suitably experience in a similar role.
  2. Food Handlers Certificate.

Specialist Expertise

  1. Proven focus on excellent customer service.
  2. Demonstrate an ability to problem solve, using initiative and flexibility.

Personal Qualities

  1. Great interpersonal and communication skills with all levels within the organisation and the public.
  2. Ability to work autonomously.
  3. Attention to detail and well organised.
