Position Details
MDHS services the Central Goldfields and Pyrenees Shire with campuses in Avoca, Dunolly and Maryborough. Dentist
Fixed Term – Part Time to Full Time – up to 80 hours per fortnight
16th October 2023 until 31st May 2024
Classification: DF4 - Dependent on Experience
Award: Victorian Public Health Sector (General Dentists') Multi Enterprise Agreement 2018-2022 (No.2)
You will work within a strong collegial environment, be supported by an experienced team and have diverse continuing education opportunities such as working under general anaesthetic. Providing dental services to both adults and children, you would also be responsible for the provision of a broad range of clinical duties within the scope of publicly funded dental services, including patients with disabilities and complex medical histories. Recent graduates are welcome to apply!
We are looking for someone with the following qualities:

- Bachelor of Dentistry or similar qualification
- Current AHPRA registration
- Operator's licence to use irradiating apparatus, provider and prescriber number
- Computer skills and experience with Dental IT software or patient management systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to converse effectively with a wide range of clients, families, staff and health professionals.
- High level of client management skills.
- Ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to staff development, continuing education and quality improvement.

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA
Qualifications / Experience
- Current Bachelor of Dentistry or similar qualification.
- Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Post graduate experience in the Australian Public Dental Sector would be desirable.
- Operator's licence to use irradiating apparatus, provider number and prescriber number.
- Victorian Drivers Licence

- Demonstrated high-level of client management and liaison skills, and the ability to liaise with persons from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team within a variety of staffing configurations and staffing ratios
- Demonstrate commitment to continuing professional development to ensure working within current scope of practice
- Computer skills and experience with Dental IT software or patient management systems
- Good communication skills; interpersonal, written and verbal
- Ability to be highly organised, efficient and productive
