Finance Officer

Permanent Full Time – 80 hours per fortnight

Classification: Administration Assistant Grade 2 (HS2)

Award: Victorian Public Health Sector (Health and Allied Services, Managers and Administrative Workers) Single Interest Enterprise Agreement 2021 - 2025

An exciting opportunity exists for an individual to join our Finance team as a Finance Officer at MDHS! The Finance Officer works as part of a small, dynamic team and is responsible for a broad range of tasks including the accurate processing and recording of accounts receivable and accounts payable, banking, reporting and compliance and other general finance related tasks.

We are looking for someone with the following qualities:

  • Previous experience in a similar role is highly desirable
  • High level of computer literacy
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and employees to provide information and good customer relations
  • Knowledge of financial management systems and procedures

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA

Essential

  • Proven experience in an accounts receivable, accounts payable or similar role
  • Relevant experience in the use of financial information management systems and demonstrated ability to use Microsoft Office suite
  • A demonstrated ability to effectively manage time, set priorities and deliver on agreed outcomes within specific timeframes
  • A demonstrated ability to establish and maintain positive and productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Desirable

  • Certificate IV or higher in a business, finance, bookkeeping or similar area
  • Experience working in a multi-disciplinary team in a public sector, aged care, community and/or health services environment
  • Experience using software including Oracle R12, Manad, iPM, Uniti
