About the role:

Parks Victoria is seeking a passionate and skilled Ranger (Nature Conservation Programs) at Wilsons Promontory National Park. You will be part of a team who deliver in park services as directed by the Ranger Team Leader. The position will be accountable for the delivery of on ground works including, but not limited to, pest plant and pest animal control, threatened species monitoring, providing exceptional visitor experiences and supporting project works. You will be required to work rostered weekends where you are remunerated through the payment of a Rostered Weekend Allowance (annual allowance of your substantive base salary). You will collaborate with a motivated team and contribute to preserving the park's cultural and natural heritage.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Invasive species management
  • Threatened species momitoring
  • Visitor management
  • Project management
  • Emergency response

We're looking for someone with:

  • Practical skills and experience in pest animal and pest plant control programs
  • Proven ability to collaborate and work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Experience in customer service, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Relevant level of knowledge of regulations and compliance procedures.
