Award: Victorian Public Health Sector (Health and Allied Services, Managers and Administrative Workers) Single Interest Enterprise Agreement 2021 – 2025

We are looking for someone with the following qualities:

  • Embrace and promote the values of MDHS – Genuine, Respect, Excellence, Accountability & Togetherness
  • An understanding of the importance of all standards relevant to CSSD, in particular, AS/NZS 4187 2014 and Australian Guidelines for the preventions and Control of Infection in Health Care 2019.
  • Experience working in CSSD/Theatre environment
  • Basic Life Support Certificate

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA

Essential

Qualifications:

  • Certificate III in Sterilisation Services (HLT 37015) as a minimum, or working towards the same.

Technical/Professional Knowledge and skills

  • Understanding of the importance of all standards relevant to CSSD, in particular, AS 5369 2023 and Australian Guidelines for the preventions and Control of Infection in Health Care 2019.
  • Understanding of the importance of prioritised equipment
  • Understanding of the ACORN standards.
  • Demonstrated experience working in CSSD/Theatre environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet processing deadlines, schedules and to be able to set goals and objectives.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated evidence of commitment to ongoing education and professional development to ensure working within current scope of practice.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work in an ever-changing environment.
