Position Details


An opportunity exists for a suitably qualified and experienced lawyer to join the Major Road Projects Authority, working on one of the largest road infrastructure projects in Victoria's history. MRPA was established as an Administrative Office under the Office of the Coordinator-General and began operations on 1 July 2018. As a newly established Administrative Office, we offer an exciting opportunity to make your mark on a number of existing and future projects within the business, grow your skill base and meet some great people along the way.


What you will be doing:

As a Senior Lawyer you will be called upon to provide timely and commercially incisive advice on legal claims and contract management issues. One of the best parts of the role is that you will be interconnected with the project delivery teams and engage in providing advice across all aspects of project lifecycles. You will need to have:

  • Experience in construction and/or major infrastructure
  • Experience working in construction law
  • The ability to build strong stakeholder relationships quickly – good communication skills are a must
  • Experience in drafting and implementing procurement delivery documents (or the like)
  • The ability to problem solve, and think outside the box in terms of solving complex issues
