About Us

As a key member of the wider Major Transport Infrastructure Authority (MTIA), Major Road Projects Victoria (MRPV) delivers major road projects across metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria. MRPV was established in July 2018 and is growing rapidly.

About The Role

A day in the life for you as the IT Application Project Manager will involve lots of planning, stakeholder engagement and project management. You will work side by side with our IT Project Manager to successfully, and as seamlessly as possible, migrate systems and applications from our old department to our new department. Your main focus will be on the application migration side of things, and you will lead that from start to finish.

You will play a huge part in initiation of new business initiatives and delivering them to internal and external stakeholders around Victoria. It will be your responsibility to ensure that communication is frequent, project planning is on point, and migration happens as quickly and as smoothly as possible.

About You

  • You have lead IT application and data migration projects in the past which enables you to hit the ground running with us. You have some tried and tested migration process methodologies to bring with you!
  • Strategy and planning is your forte, and you love the challenge of solving problems whether they be big or small.
  • You pride yourself in being able to talk to people about technology, whether they have a technical IT background like yourself or whether it's the new intern running our reception desk.
  • Your written communication is on point and you can easily prepare correspondence that has minimal grammatical or spelling errors.

Why Work With Us?

  • We will give you the tools to work “flexibly” where needed – we have offices spread out across Victoria and we encourage people to network with the rest of the department where they can.
  • You will be a key support function in some of the biggest road infrastructure projects happening around Victoria.
  • You'll start to get excited about road works and upgrades happening on our major roads – knowing you are helping to make this happen is really rewarding.
  • You will work in a team that encourages career development, enjoyment and values hard work.
  • We have access to employee discounts at several retailers within the CBD area! Discounted coffee is definitely a bonus.
  • Access to top notch services and facilities here at 80 Collins – including dry cleaning, clothing and shoe repairs, food and beverage delivery, iPhone repair, watch repairs, communal umbrellas for rainy days.
  • We also have end of trip facilities coming as part of our office refurb, and many other perks in the works for 2019/2020.
