Position Details

- Ongoing, full-time role earning $85,787 - $98,651 per year, plus super.
What you will do
As industry officer – kitchen, you will help deliver prison industry programs that support rehabilitation and community safety.
You will supervise daily kitchen work while maintaining safe, secure and productive operations.
You will:
- deliver safe kitchen operations that meet production targets and customer needs
- maintain accurate stock, supplier and financial records
- train and supervise people in prison to use tools, machinery and equipment safely
- support positive behaviour through coaching, mentoring and work-based learning
- complete timely records, searches, escorts and reports while following prison procedures.
About you
A relevant trade qualification or industry certification is desirable. You must complete the Prison Officer Pre-Service Training if you have not already done so.
You should also have:
- experience with workplace health and safety in an operational setting
- strong computer skills and the ability to learn new systems
- good judgement to solve problems and support daily operations
- clear communication skills and the ability to build respectful working relationships.
