As a key member of the wider Major Transport Infrastructure Authority (MTIA), Major Road Projects Victoria (MRPV) delivers major road projects across metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria. Established in July 2018, MRPV is growing rapidly and we are looking for passionate people to join us.

We currently have three vacancies for VPS6 Cost Controllers to be based in Echuca, Footscray and Hallam. This is your chance to help shape the organisation and contribute to the great work we’re already doing in building this vital infrastructure for the Victorian community.

Position Details

About The Role

As a Cost Controller you will be supporting your dedicated project team with the development of cost control functions to ensure forecasts are realistic, consistently monitored against the budget and reporting is timely and accurate. Your role will also involve phasing budgets and a number of different reports such as cost deviations, cash flow, change management through the month end financial reports.


There are 7 positions currently available, and when applying you will be asked to choose your 1st and 2nd location preference. We can't always guarantee you will get your preference, but we do our best to accommodate.


1 x fixed term 3-year contract based in Hallam

1 x fixed term 12-month contract based in Footscray

1 x fixed term 3-year contract based in Echuca

3 x fixed term 3-year contract based in Melbourne CBD and surrounds

1 x fixed term 12-month contract based in Ballarat with some travel to Geelong



About You

You have a good understanding of project controls mechanisms and can tell us about your project coordination experience within major construction or infrastructure projects. You are a collaborative person and you understand that in order to be successful in your role you need to build strong relationships with all your stakeholders.


You might be from a similar position working on construction or infrastructure projects and have used systems like Ecosys, Oracle or others before. You're able to come in and ‘hit the ground running' with minimal training needed, and you're agile with your working methods.
