Position Details

About The Role

Join MRPV in this newly created position for the business where you will be leading the surveillance function across a number of different road and bridge project within a large program of work.

As a Surveillance Manager you will be looking after:

  • ongoing surveillance and auditing of site investigations, transport infrastructure construction and maintenance work within a project across a program.
  • the development, coordination, planning and implementation of risk-based site surveillance.
  • Lead and motivate a team of surveillance resources that are geographically spread across a program of work.

This role is a mix of ‘hands on' surveillance on the construction site, office-based report writing and motivating/developing a team of existing and new surveillance staff. There will be some weekends and late nights required, as is typical for this sort of work. You'll also be collaborating closely with surveillance teams in other programs of work to ensure a structured and coordinated approach to surveillance is created and implemented. 

The roles are based around Victoria – North Melbourne, West Melbourne, Geelong and South Eastern Suburbs.

About You

You've got a surveillance background in the infrastructure space, and the ability to spot potential or existing risks from a mile away. You have experience managing a small team in the past, and you're not afraid to jump in and assist the team in a hands-on manner when they need it.

You pride yourself on your written and verbal communication skills and have no issues with writing progress reports for senior stakeholders within the business and external to MRPV. You understand how to tailor your communication to suit your audience.
