Employment Programs Lead

Rail Projects Victoria, Major Transport Infrastructure Authority (RPV, MTIA), is the Victorian Government body responsible for the delivery of the Metro Tunnel Project, Regional Rail Revival, Melbourne Airport Rail, Suburban Rail Loop and the Western Rail Plan including fast rail between key regional cities and Melbourne. RPV, MTIA is responsible for all aspects of the projects including planning and development of the project reference design, site investigations, stakeho lder engagement, planning approvals and procurement, through to construction delivery and project commissioning. Major Transport Infrastructure Authority (MTIA) comprises of Level Crossing Removal Project (LXRP), Rail Projects Victoria (RPV, MTIA), North East Link Project (NELP), West Gate Tunnel Project (WGTP) and Major Road Projects Victoria (MRPV).

About the opportunity

RPV is committed to promoting opportunities for early career professionals and delivering programs to support this including our Graduate Program, Internship/Cadet Program, Trainee Program, Work Experience Program, CareerSeeker, Professionals Program and new programs in the works! RPV currently has over 30 graduates working on our projects and in 2020 will welcome almost 50 more.

Our Industry Based Learning Program sees almost 40 university students from diverse disciplines, join RPV for six months to enhance their study through workplace experience. RPV is also focused on providing opportunities for trainees and interns through working with several non-profit organisations. This newly created role will take charge leading this suite of programs and be responsible for delivering exceptional results for RPV and the Victorian community.

About you

You are a self-starting and results-driven individual, passionate about developing early and mid-career professionals, managing careers programs and driving improvements based on industry leading practice and organisaitonal insight. You may have experience across sectors - education, non-profit, youth, employment and training, business - always with a clear objective of supporting people to achieve their next goal. This newly created role is positioned within RPV's People and Performance team and will be instrumental to the success of our employment programs.
